I was both honoured and pleasantly surprised to be chosen as Peñista del Año, an honour that I gladly accept and sincerely appreciate, as it is a distinction that any crew member who truly lives the spirit of San Roque might one day aspire to receive.
I would like to see all the crews more united, setting aside any differences they may have, because our festivities deserve nothing less.
I also hope that their committee members will continue to recognise the importance of working together and eventually achieve complete coordination in organising the events that fill our San Roque nights. Doing so would prevent programmes from overlapping and would also help ensure the financial sustainability of the crews.
