Born in Calatayud on February 9, 1979, he belongs to a generation for whom being part of the San Roque crews is almost written into their DNA. It is no coincidence that his father, D. Francisco Yagüe Delgado “Paneta”, was one of the founders of Peña Solera back in 1970. From an early age, he has always been an active member of Peña Solera, helping with the assembly of the crew headquarters, participating in, and organizing traditional events such as the meringue fight and the costume parade.
He later served on several boards of directors of Peña Solera, eventually becoming its President from 2009 to 2012. During his term, the crew reached its highest membership in its history up to that point. He also worked hard to revive long-standing traditions and to restore the crew's financial stability.
At the same time, he combined this role with serving as a member of the San Roque Inter-Crew Federation of Calatayud, working tirelessly for the benefit of the festivities, all the San Roque crews, and the city of Calatayud itself. He played a key role during one of the Federation's most difficult periods. In the first months of 2010, the entire Temporary Management Committee then overseeing the Inter-Crew Federation resigned, creating a period of considerable uncertainty. Arturo Yagüe, together with six other crew presidents, led a candidacy whose sole purpose was to safeguard the independence and impartiality of the institution while ensuring that the San Roque festivities continued in the right direction. This objective was achieved through the appointment of a new independent Temporary Management Committee, representing the San Roque crews. Its greatest accomplishment was the drafting of the Federation's current Statutes, prepared by a team consisting of Víctor Pereira, Javier Bilsor, and Raúl López, who completed this work during the presidency of Armando Pellejer.
His dedication as a member of the Brotherhood of San Roque also deserves special recognition. He has consistently promoted, participated in, and supported countless activities organized by the Brotherhood, including “la Novena”, tree-planting initiatives around the Hermitage of San Roque, and the charity challenge in support of cancer research.
