Jorge Miret Velilla, born in Calatayud in 1971, can truly be said to have been a member of Rouna from birth. He officially became a crew member of Rouna at the age of fourteen and, ever since, has remained an active and dedicated participant.
His San Roque bass drum has never stopped sounding, accompanying the different brass bands of the crew and taking part in every activity.
It can also be said that Jorge's family is Rouna through and through, as his entire family belongs to the crew. As a light-hearted anecdote, we can mention that since she was very young, his eldest daughter has always insisted that one day she will become president of this crew.
His connection with Rouna and the San Roque festivities is a heartfelt combination of affection and friendship, built upon unbreakable bonds.
His commitment to Rouna led him to serve as its president for four years, from 1999 to 2002, together with his board of directors.
His dedication to the organization of the San Roque festivities is equally evident. During that same period, he also served within the Inter-Crew Federation, under the presidency of Efrén Navarro, where he held the position of Vice President. In 2003, he became Treasurer, and during the following two years he continued as a board member, taking responsibility for all matters related to the security of the festivities while also contributing numerous new ideas and initiatives aimed at making San Roque an even better celebration—one of his greatest passions.
